Community Health Consultation Report has been published

CaVSA has recently organised a community consultation to contribute to the statutory Joint Strategic Needs Assessment. For a detailed description of our findings and recommendations, please go to the JSNA Community Consultation Page.

1 SEP. The Internet Advertising Bureau. The trade body for digital marketing has launched a free guide to help not-for-profit organisations make their websites easier to find.

1 SEP. Listening to the views of H&F Homes residents on the future of their housing services. A postal survey is carried out with the residents across the borough to find out how satisfied they are with their home and the services they currently receive.

1 SEP. Top tips from activists. Urban Forum and bassac have published Local Action - The Handy Guide for communities working with councillors.

17 AUG. Grassroots Grants funding is now available only in Hammersmith & Fulham and Wandsworth. The next closing date is 24th September 2010.

12 AUG. Expired passports now accepted as evidence of right to work. From 2nd August it has been decided that if you are an employer you can accept indefinite leave to remain in an expired passport as evidence of right to work.

9 AUG. Child protection database to be switched off. A £235m government database containing the records of England's 11 million children is being switched off.

9 AUG. More than a Library. Given the success of the new Shepherd’s Bush Library at Westfield the Council is proposing to use it as an example for the future of library services in the Borough. There will be three Open Days for you to speak to staff and get to know more about what is being considered

30 JUL. Winning Contracts. A FREE 2-day training programme, helping you win more contracts.

27 JUL. Department of Health Consultation. The Department of Health is now consulting on the White Paper proposal . This engagement process is intended to give you a voice in designing how HealthWatch will work.

26 JUL. Electoral Services Recruitment. Electoral services are now recruiting for committed people to join the team for the annual voter registration canvass, which starts on the 18 August 2010. Please visit their website for an information pack and application form.

2011 Third Sector Apprenticeship Programme

Image of Apprentice We are currently looking for Third Sector Organisations in H&F to take on Apprentices in Business Admin from now until the end of funding in March 2011. Organisations must provide management for the career of young people and be able to sustain another employee for the period outlines. CaVSA will provide funding for the posts as well as training and IAG for management of young people.
